The IEC initiative will officially open for the upcoming year on January 18th, 2011.  On that date you will find instructions on this page on how to obtain, prepare, and submit an application package.  Information currently provided on this site has been posted to help you begin preparing your documentation in advance.

Administrative changes are being made to the IEC that will come into effect at the beginning of 2011. Most notably, for the first time in Ireland, you will be able to apply directly to the Government of Canada.  We are streamlining the application process which will affect how and where you apply to the program.  We invite you to visit our web site frequently to familiarise yourself with the numerous changes coming into effect, and how these changes will affect the application process.

We are introducing these changes as part of a larger initiative to re-align the IEC in Ireland with its counterparts in participating countries around the world.  There are three major areas of re-alignment: Program Category, Eligibilty Criteria, and Application Process.
